Scribus is an open source desk top publishing (DTP) application that runs under Windows, Mac OSX or Linux. It is free to download and easy to install. Scribus shares many of the core features of DTP with commercial tools such as InDesign, and although it may not be ideal for major projects such as books, it is very capable at creating posters, leaflets and brochures.

Intended audience Anyone wishing to produce professional looking posters and small documents
Prior knowledge You will need to be familiar with Windows, Mac OSX or Linux and have experience in using a Word Processor (such as Word or Pages)
