This 30 minute session provides you with an introduction to the Radcliffe Science Library (RSL). It includes a brief tour of the library and information on using the library services and catalogue, SOLO.

  • Using SOLO to search for print and electronic library materials, refine your searches, request books from storage, and make scan and deliver requests
  • Using SOLO to manage your library account to find out what items you have out on loan, when they are due back, and if you have any fines accruing
  • Identifying which items you can borrow, how long you can have them, and how to go about borrowing them
  • Navigating the Radcliffe Science Library to locate and borrow books, make photocopies and scans of materials, log on to library computers and the WiFi network, and make use of the group study room and other areas of the library
